Day 1: Arrival in Pune & City Sightseeing
On arrival in Pune, transfer to your hotel and check in. After freshening up, proceed for local sightseeing. Visit the Aga Khan Palace, a historic monument closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the revered Shree Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple, one of the most famous Ganesh shrines in Maharashtra. Continue to Saras Baug, a well-known garden with a beautiful Ganpati temple, and then explore the fascinating collections at the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum. Later, drive through the campus of Savitribai Phule Pune University, admired for its architecture and greenery, and stop at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) to view the iconic landmark of Indian cinema training. Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Pune.
Day 2: Excursion to Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Mahabaleshwar (approx. 120 km / 3.5 hrs), a picturesque hill station famous for its strawberry farms, cool climate, and spectacular viewpoints. Visit attractions such as Venna Lake, Mapro Garden, and panoramic points like Arthur’s Seat, Wilson Point, and Elephant’s Head. Later, proceed to Panchgani, a charming hill town set amidst five hills, known for Table Land, a vast volcanic plateau, and its scenic viewpoints. In the evening, drive back to Pune and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Excursion to Lonavala & Khandala – Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Lonavala and Khandala (approx. 65 km / 1.5–2 hrs from Pune), twin hill stations nestled in the Sahyadri ranges. Visit popular points such as Bhushi Dam, Tiger’s Leap, Duke’s Nose, and Karla or Bhaja Caves. Enjoy the lush greenery, waterfalls (in monsoon), and the famous Lonavala chikki. In the evening, return to Pune for your onward journey, completing a memorable short tour of Pune with nearby hill stations.
